Non-conventional Gas

A non-conventional gas is a natural gas obtained from sources of production that are considered to be new and different.

Waste Gas is sometimes grouped under the unconventional gas category, and within the gas power generation, is usually defined as a gas produced as a by-product from some other process e.g. flue gas from a smelter or gas escaped from an oil well during the extraction process, which also could be utilised as a fuel.

Gases include:

Due to the way the gas is deposited, non-conventional gases require advanced production techniques to extract the natural gas.

The MWM range of engines are perfectly capable in operating on these gas types.
