DataCentres Ireland 2018
Edina will be exhibiting at DataCentres Ireland 2018, taking the on 20th and 21st November 2018 at the Royal Dublin Society (RDS) in Dublin, Ireland.
Now in its seventh year, the conference and exhibition is billed as a must attend event for anyone responsible for IT infrastructure, Enterprise Scale Data Centre, Large Co-location Data Centres or Hyperscale Data Centres campuses or other Mission Critical Environments.
Delegates will have an opportunity to hear the latest support solutions, shared best practice and case studies presented by industry experts and take part in facilitated discussions. DataCentres Ireland addresses every aspect of planning, designing and operating your datacentre, server room, storage facility or solution.
Gas-fired power generation
The provision of gas-fired engine technology used in data centres offers considerable benefits when compared with its diesel counterpart. For example, an MWM gas-fired combined heat and power (CHP) plant operating on natural gas is proven to reduce operational cost, reduce carbon emissions and offer high availability of power plant to maintain security of electricity supply.
Alternatively, the production of electricity, heat and cooling, known as Tri-generation, or combined cooling, heat and power (CCHP), uses absorption chillers to convert heat into cold water for the data centres cooling system.
Gas-fired engine technology offers a smart and flexible solution to improve business competitiveness, reduce energy costs and emissions, whilst maintain security of power supply.
