Edina is pleased to announce the appointment of Hugh Richmond as the groups new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately.
Hugh will work alongside the Board of Directors and Senior Management team to implement Edina’s long term strategic vision and accelerate the company’s growth across the UK, Ireland and international territories.
Hugh joined Edina in 2017 as Head of Global Sales and brings over 25 years’ commercial and operational experience within the energy and combined heat and power (CHP) industries. Hugh has held senior positions across the energy landscape and was instrumental in leading a team creating significant growth within domestic and international markets.
Interim CEO Delvin Lane has now returned to Edina’s parent company EPAL and is building a pipeline of projects in the wider energy sector.
Hugh Richmond, comments; “Edina has a long standing reputation in delivering recognised CHP and gas powered solutions within the UK and Ireland. Our aim is to replicate our domestic success in international markets, and build upon EESL’s established innovative models for scaling energy efficiency globally.”
EESL Managing Director and Edina Chairman, Saurabh Kumar, says; “Promoting from within is integral to our operational philosophy and Hugh’s appointment will complement our well established knowledge and technical expertise in delivering market leading power projects. Our new operating structure will provide greater clarity, perspective and purpose, allowing us to accelerate our growth overseas and double our turnover by 2021.”
Edina is a leading supplier, installer and maintenance provider for combined heat and power (CHP), gas and diesel power generation solutions, and is the official UK and Ireland distributor for MWM gas engine technology and Perkins Parts and engines in Ireland.
Operating for over 30 years’, Edina has delivered over 500MWe of installed electrical capacity in the UK and Ireland, and recently won its second Queen’s Awards for Enterprise – Innovation award. In March 2018, Edina was purchased by EPAL, a joint venture between India’s EESL (Energy Efficiency Services Ltd) and UK based EnergyPro Asset Management Ltd.
