On-site power generation

Edina will be showcasing the benefits of installing on-site power generation to reduce energy costs and carbon emissions.

Producing power on-site, for example, the installation of gas-fired power generation, presents many advantages when compared to conventional power plants.

For example, a gas-fired combined heat and power (CHP) plant is the most fuel efficient and environmentally friendly process in producing electricity, heat and cooling from a single fuel source.

Furthermore, waste heat is utilised for heating which is otherwise wasted in conventional power production.

Finally, local generation eliminates efficiency loses incurred through the transmission and distribution of electricity through the grid and local distribution networks.

Edina has successfully installed CHP plants across several projects including:

Edina staff will be available to discuss and showcase the benefits of combined heat and power (CHP) application.  So if you’re looking to improve your energy efficiency, visit us at stand E7.
