Distributed Energy Show 2024

Feb 28, 2024

Distributed Energy Show 2024: Edina showcase EPC Battery Energy Storage and hydrogen-ready Combined Heat and Power (CHP) technology.

Edina is exhibiting at the Distributed Energy Show 2024 at show stand 6015.

The two-day event, taking place on the 13th and 14th of March at the Telford International Centre, UK, will enable Edina to showcase the benefits of an engineered, procurement and construction (EPC) Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and hydrogen-ready Combined Heat and Power (CHP) solutions to address the energy trilemma in balancing energy costs, energy sustainability and energy resilience.

Edina Sales Manager, Ian Farr, will also take part in the 'Defining Decentralised: What Part do Microgrids Play in the Future of Energy Resilience?' panel discussion taking place on Day 2, 10 am at Theatre 2.

EPC Battery Energy Storage

Edina is an EPC and system integrator for tier 1 battery technology and inverter systems.

Our modular outdoor battery energy storage solution is fully integrated and prefabricated with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cell chemistry, liquid-cooled thermal management system, skid-mounted inverter systems, battery management system and UL-certified fire detection and suppression systems.

From the UK and Ireland, we can provide the full engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) scope of works to include detailed design, engineering, project management and installation, commissioning, and long-term asset-care support, from a single point of contact.

On-site Generation

Combined Heat and Power (CHP) is a well-established technology that simultaneously generates electricity and heat from a fuel input close to the point of use. Industrial and commercial users of CHP have typically reported 30% savings on their primary energy costs when compared to the separate purchase of electricity from the electricity grid and gas for use in on-site boilers.

MWM gas engines powered CHP plants can operate using existing low-carbon natural gas and biogas or biomethane and can operate using hydrogen blends once injected into the existing gas network.

Hybrid Power Solutions

The co-location of battery energy storage alongside solar PV and low-carbon and hydrogen-ready gas engines can offer industrial businesses protection against rising energy costs whilst improving resilience and reducing site carbon emissions as part of energy trilemma initiatives. For many large energy users, gas-fired Combined Heat and Power (CHP) is a means to manage spiralling energy costs and can form part of a wider sustainable strategy.

Commercial food waste processor BioteCH4 is benefitting from a co-location solution at two of its sites; Holme Bioenergy, and R100 Energy, to solve grid constraints, minimise energy costs, and improve site resilience and sustainability.

About the Distributed Energy Show 2024

The Distributed Energy Show is a free-to-attend exhibition and conference that will bring together the entire supply-chain focused on distributed energy resources and provide visitors with a comprehensive array of technologies and systems to enable them to generate, store, manage and distribute their own power and heat.

Technologies on display include solar systems, gas turbines, wind turbines, combined heat & power, energy storage systems, small hydro, fuel cells, smart energy systems and platforms, virtual power plant systems, cabling, converters, power electronics.
