World Biogas Expo 2023: Edina showcase hydrogen-ready Combined Heat and Power (CHP) technology, MWM Asset-Care support and system integrated Battery Energy Storage solution.
Edina is exhibiting at the World Biogas Expo 2023 at show stand A508.
The two-day event, taking place on the 29th and 30th of March at the NEC, Birmingham, UK, will enable Edina to showcase the benefits of a biogas fuelled Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant, Edina's Asset-Care support, and Battery Energy Storage solution to further customer sustainability initiatives amidst rising energy costs and net zero pledges.
On-site Generation
Combined Heat and Power (CHP) is a well-established technology that simultaneously generates electricity and heat from a fuel input close to the point of use. Industrial and commercial users of CHP have typically reported 30% savings on their primary energy costs when compared to the separate purchase of electricity from the electricity grid and gas for use in on-site boilers.
MWM gas engines powered CHP plants can operate using existing low-carbon natural gas and biogas and can operate using hydrogen blends once injected into the existing gas network.
Asset-Care Support
Edina is the authorised distributor for high-efficiency MWM gas engines and has over 1GW contracted electricity capacity in the UK and Ireland.
Today, we are supporting over 200 contracted customers. Our customers benefit from MWM technically trained Edina field service engineers, 24/7 remote monitoring coverage, and access to genuine OEM parts to ensure optimum plant performance and availability.
Edina is the warranty provider for all products in the UK. Under our asset-care agreement, all warranty work is included to ensure peace of mind. We have experience assisting and supporting European packagers bringing MWM products into the UK on warranty issues.
System Integrated Battery Energy Storage
Edina is a system integrator for tier 1 battery technology and inverter systems which are scalable and deliver guaranteed performance.
Our modular outdoor battery energy storage solution is fully integrated and prefabricated with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cell chemistry, liquid-cooled thermal management system, skid-mounted inverter systems, battery management system and UL certified fire detection and suppression systems.
From the UK and Ireland, we can provide the full engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) scope of works to included detailed design, engineering, project management and installation, commissioning, and long-term asset-care support, from a single point of contact.

The co-location of battery energy storage alongside solar PV and low carbon and hydrogen-ready gas engines can offer industrial businesses protection against rising energy costs whilst improving resilience and reducing carbon emissions at site. About the World Biogas Expo 2023
The World Biogas Expo is a free to attend exhibition and conference hosted by the Anaerobic Digestion and Bioresources Association (ADBA) and the World Biogas Association (WBA) and is billed as the largest trade show solely dedicated to anaerobic digestion and biogas. The event is co-located with the World Biogas Summit and AD & Biogas Industry Awards.
