Edina wins two biogas industry awards at the UK AD & Biogas awards 2017 with shortlisted projects Swancote Energy and Mogden Sewage Treatment Works.

The judges commented, “Edina and Thames Water have presented an excellent entry. Mogden Sewage Treatment Works is a great example of how the performance of a long-standing sewage treatment plant can be upgraded with a collaborative approach and investment in new infrastructure and CHPs.”
“Swancote Energy is an excellent example of a small operator that has invested in new and innovative ways to ensure continuity.”
The black-tie awards dinner was part of the Anaerobic Digestion & Bioresources Association (ADBA) UK AD & Biogas and World Biogas Expo 2017. The ceremony took place on the evening of 5th July, and celebrated and recognised achievement, innovation and excellence within the anaerobic digestion and biogas industry.
The awards were presented by Charlotte Smith, presenter of BBC Radio 4’s Farming Today and regular contributor to BBC1’s Countryfile.
ADBA Chief Executive Charlotte Morton said of the awards; “These awards were a great opportunity to celebrate the best and brightest in the AD industry both in the UK and around the world, and helps ensure that everyone knows the huge contribution this industry can make to meeting the UN Sustainable Development Goals.”
